Obituary

Orale Wayman Scholes Carver passed away peacefully August 19, 2013. She was born January 8, 1916 along with her twin brother, Oliver, to Hazel and Clarence O. Wayman in Logan Utah. She married her high school sweetheart, Harold Burnham Scholes, in the Logan Temple in September 1935. Together they had four children. Harold preceded Orale in death in 1975. She later married Homer Carver and they enjoyed companionship until his death in 1991.

Orale was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in all of her Church callings and assignments. She loved the outdoors, had a "green thumb," and was a wonderful homemaker. Most of all, she loved her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, spouses, most of her siblings, and a beloved daughter-in-law, Sherry. Orale is survived by her sisters, Maye Deason and Hazel Boss, her children, Harold Scholes (Theresa), Marilyn Bateman (Merrill), Peter Scholes (Maryland), and Vickie Austin (Ed) as well as107 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. We offer our sincere gratitude to Alpha Omega Hospice, especially Verna, Carmen, and Joylynn, who gave her tender loving care, along with Bill, Kyle, Stephen, and Mike who spent many hours brightening her day. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cascade 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 1051 East 200 North, Orem, Utah. Family and friends may call Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery in Provo, Utah.
