Biography

Isaac Wayne was born about 1699 in County Wicklow, Ireland, son of Anthony Wayne (1666 - 1739) and Hannah (Faulkner) Wayne (1666 - 1763).

His siblings were:

Isaac Wayne was the father of Major General Anthony ("Mad Anthony") Wayne. He immigrated from Ireland in the year 1724. The Wayne family was one of the more prosperous families in the Radnor area. The central village of Radnor is named Wayne after the General. Isaac's daughter Anne (the General's sister) is also buried at that site; her husband is buried to the right of the grave. Isaac's father (buried to his left) was also named Anthony; the General's son was named Isaac.
