Anne Webb was born in 1804 in Bolton, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom[1], daughter of James Webb (1780 - 1838) and Alice (Higginbottom) Webb (~1780 - 1837).
Anne married Samuel Brabin (1795 - 1862) in 1825 in Eccles, Lancashire. Their son was James Brabin (1825 - 1898).
Records show that Ann and Samuel had 3 children when she was convicted of stealing in 1828.
Anne arrived in Australia as a convict for 7 years, Bathurst and Iron Gang 5 at
Baulkham Hills. She resided around Sydney, Ashfield, and Newtown areas.
Anne Brabbin was sent to Australia on the convict ship Sovereign departing England 15 April 1829. She was given a seven year term for Stealing clothing. In 1830 she was convicted of the crime of "pregnancy" in the Newcastle area and sent to the Parramatta Female Factory. This is where she had Elizabeth, who's father is listed as Joseph Smith. There are several Joseph Smith's who were convicts, which one it is remains undknwon.
Anne married William Thomas Parker (1802 - 1888) in 1833 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Their children were:
Ann did not marry Joseph Smith-301806 she was tried and convicted of the crime of pregnancy in Newcastle and transferred to the Parramatta Female Factory where she had a child, Elizabeth. There are several Joseph Smith convicts and it is not known which one she had the child to.
Anne died in 1864 in Ashfield, New South Wales, Australia aged ~60.
