Biography
Margaret was born on 23 October 1848, most likely at the family home at Eland's Kloof, near Grahamstown. She was baptised in the Methodist Church in Grhamstown on 5 December 19478. Her parents were John Webb and Elizabeth Wakeford.[1][2]
Her married name was Brattain[3]
She died after 1918.[3]
Research Notes
A strong candidate for her husband is Alfred Brittain - he and a wife named Margaret have children in Barkley West and Aliwal North, in the correct time span, but there is no way to confirm she is Margaret Webb.
