The entry for Robert William Webb (81) dated 29 Nov 1937 in death certificate of Robert William Webb gives his father as George Webb and mother is Mary Little with Robert William's birth year as 1856, which means dates/ages in the 1870 census are erroneous.[3]
The date of George W Webb Sr.'s death is uncertain. The U.S. Census for 1880 [4] lists George W Webb (age 54) and his family including wife Mary (age 63 at home with cancer) and other children including son George W Webb (age 22). This is clearly an error regarding George W Webb (Sr.) since he is listed as 54 in the 1860 census with birthdate estimate as 1806 as of 1860 census.
