Biography

Kezekiah Webb married Benjamin Kirk January 17, 1788 in Montgomery County Virginia. Julias was listed as her father, surety by Joseph Kirk.[1]

When Benjamin Kirk died, a guardian was appointed for the children. Note from Kirk researcher Judy Krieger to Margaret Summitt: "Julius Kirk, youngest child of Benjamin and Kezekiah Webb Kirk, must have been of age by 13 November 1819. At that time he requested termination of guardianship for both him and his sister, Patsy. Henry Townsend was guardian to three of Benjamin's heirs, Polly, Patsy, and Julius. Henry requested termination of his guardianship as early as 1816, as the children did not have any estate. Henry's guardianship report for 1819 said that Polly was deceased in 1817. In 1820 Henry states that Patsy and Julius were living in Tennessee. Final termination of guardianship was recorded in the August Court, 1820, Shelby County, Kentucky."

Daughter Elizabeth Kirk married William Mayfield 21 Feb 1805 in Shelby County, Kentucky.[2]

Daughter Margaret Kirk married James Hamilton 17 Dec 1818 in Shelby County, Kentucky.[3]

Daughter Patsy Kirk married Tilly Halton 13 April 1821 in Lauderdale County, Alabama.[4] She was probably living with her uncle Thomas or Nimrod. This license was given at the Office of the Registrar of the Orphans Court in Lauderdale County, Alabama. In 1820 Patsy was living in Tennessee with Julius.

Julius Kirk was father to James Martin Kirk, who was great-grandfather to Anthony Lane of Rogers, Arkansas, per an email to Margaret Summitt received 16 Oct 2006.

Kezekiah was born about 1765. She was the daughter of Julius Webb. She passed away after 1830.
