Martin was a soldier for six months in Col. Peachey's Regiment, Frontier Bat., Buckingham County on 8 November 1779, Virginia Colonial Militia.
Martin died after 3 August 1816 in Warren County, Kentucky, as this was the date of his last will and testament. That area would become Edmonson County, Kentucky about a decade later.
