Biography

Walter Webb was born to Henry James & Elizabeth Emma Webb, farmers of English stock in the Albany District of the Cape Colony late in 1854. He was the third of 9 siblings listed in his father's death notice. He too became a farmer, married Mary Gertrude Austin in 1894 and raised a family of three girls and two boys. He was a stock farmer and died at Three Fountains of pneumonia and heart failure aged 72.
