Mrs. Amanda W. Lyon.
Naples, July 12. — Mrs. Amanda Webb Lyon died in her home, in Race street, yesterday night. Mrs. Lyon was born May 8, 1820 in Middlesex and was the daughter of Silas and Mindwell Hoyt Webb. She married John Van Fossen Lyon on February 20, 1841, who died June 10, 1896. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. T. Samantha Caskey, of Naples, with whom she lived, and Mrs. Loretta Moore, of Brockport, N. Y.; she also leaves two grand-daughters, Mrs. Bertha Mitchell, of Naples, and Mrs. Blanche Manning, of Brockport, N. Y.
Funeral Services will be held at her late home on Sunday at 2 o’clock. Rev. W. C. Glasier pastor of the M. E. Church will officiate. [1]
