Joseph was born in 1839 in Kingham, Oxfordshire.[1] He was the son of David Webb and Jane (Davis) Webb. His baptism took place at All Saints, Churchill, Oxfordshire on 19th May 1839.[2] His father stated on the register that he was a baker.
Marriage
Joseph Webb and Fanny Webb were married after banns at St Andrew's,Kingham, Oxfordshire on 12th May 1863.[3]. They were bachelor and spinster, both of full age and both of the parish. Joseph was a labourer and the son of David Webb who was a baker. Fanny was the daughter of John Webb who was a farmer. They both signed their own names on the register. The witnesses to the marriage were Arthur Skinner, Nathaniel Cook, Betsy Webb and Rose Ann Ward.[4]
