Alice Webb was born about 1590 in Sidnam, Devonshire, England, the daughter of Thomas Webb.[1]

This profile has date problems. The Alyce Webbe who died in 1586 cannot possibly be the mother of children born between 1614 and 1627.

Either it is the product of an unfortunate merge, or of some inaccurate genealogies published about this family (see the profile for her husband Christopher Waring). Thanks!

Alyce Webbe and Christopher Warren were married 15 June, 1613 in Sydenham Damerel, Devonshire, Eng. I left off the 1 in my note below. Sorry.

Their 3rd son Richard was baptized there 15 August 1619.

Richard's wife, Elizabeth maiden name Jouwett/Jowett/ Ivatt , was the widow of Francis Marsh/March. She married Francis March when she was 15 in 1629. I don't think a record has ever been found of the marriage date for Richard and Elizabeth. Why would we think he's Richard Waring who died 1697 in MA?

Many copied trees have Christopher Warren's dates 1558-1587. Some even have him dying in Massachusetts in 1587.

Look up New England Historical and Genealogical Register,: Volume 55 1901 on Google books for Christopher. Serious problems with some of the "family books" published.

U.S. & Int'l Marriage Records, 1560-1900 isn't a marriage record. It's a hit on a databased compiled by a programmed computer sweep through submittals from people who often just collected names. A real marriage record has a full exact date of the event and location.

Someone made up those dates years ago to try to get them to force-fit into the Mayflower saga of a different Richard Warren who was born around 1580 and died 1628 in Plymouth.

Christopher Warren and "Alyce Webbe" were married 5 June, 1613. Use that spelling and you'll find it.

If Alice died in 1586 then she's not the mother of third son Richard born 1619 who's attached to this page who married Elizabeth Ivatt, the widow of Francis Marsh/March. She married Francis March at age 15 in 1629. We don't know that date she married Richard Warren. http://tinyurl.com/Warren-not-Ivatt

Webb-212 and Webb-330 appear to represent the same person because: same name, same name for husband and son
