Biography

I have recently started my family tree through Ancestry.com, MyHeritage.com and Geni.com. I have DNA results through Ancestry and have become fascinated with my heritage. There are suggestions found that may indicate some royal blood; however, I realize that this finding can be obscured by wishful thinking of many so I am skeptical. I would like to find more evidence that would confirm or deny this. I do have a first hand writing from my great, great grandfather on my mother's side that outlines the descendants of his family that goes back to the first colonies in New England; Massachusetts and Connecticut. I was born in the Washington, D.C. area in 1956 and lived there for my first 18 years. All of my immediate family members were also born and lived in this area for most of their lives. I moved to NC to continue my education in college and have raised my family here since graduation.

Sources

All of my information that I have is what I have been able to find in Ancestry, MyHeriage, Geni and the first hand writing from my great, great grandfather. I have family Bibles, birth certificates for all immediate family, Marriage certificates, and divorce decrees.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz! Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ. Based on your tags the British Isles Aristocrats Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit. Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

P.S. Tags are a great way to connect with others researching the same name or location. To make that easier, you'll want to add tags (one each) for surnames, locations, an topics you're interested in. Click the linked "following" in the text just above your tags on this page, your profile page, to edit your tags & add more tags.

Once you save your tags (and last I checked, you needed to save each one as you edit or add it), you'll be able to click them and see a list of other WikiTree genealogists who are also researching those subjects. For surnames, there will be another tab on that page that shows you all of the profiles with that name.

You'll also get notifications in your daily & weekly emails when there is activity relevant to your tags.

Cheers, Liz
