Head-on crash kills couple, NEWARK

Julian Olsen, 70, and his wife, Lucille, 72, were killed Saturday night in a headon crash on the Highway 84 approach to the Dumbarton Bridge. According to the California Highway Patrol, the Olsens were killed when their car was struck by an automobile driven by Timothy J. Hall, 23, of Hayward, who allegedly drifted over the center line. Hall, who faces charges of vehicular manslaughter and felony drunken driving, is reported in stable condition at Kaiser Hospital in Hayward. A passenger in Hall's car, Elizabeth Ann Hartford, 20, also of Hayward, remains in stable condition at Kaiser Medical Center.
