The son of William Webster and Flora (Long) Webster, Hanson Webster was born in Sennett Township, New York[citation needed] in 1846, residing there with his family.[1][2][3][4][5] His father passed away there in 1872 and in 1875, Hanson lived at their farm in Sennett Township with his mother and siblings.[6]
Hanson married Emma (Anderson) Webster, the daughter of John Anderson and Mary E. Shults, having two children together. After his father's death, Hanson inherited some of his father's land in Cayuga County, taking title to the land from his mother..[7] In 1880, he and his family lived in Grieg Township, New York, in Lewis County, where Hanson worked as a "general speculator."[8] By 1886, they lived in Boonville, New York, where Hanson worked as the president of a contracting company in New York City.[9] I[10] In 1892, residing in Flatbush, New York, Hanson worked as a builder.[11] By 1897, he moved with his family had moved to Brooklyn, residing at 211 Hawthorne Street and continuing his work as a builder.[12][13][14][15]
Hanson Webster passed away in Brooklyn, New York[16] at the age of 66< and is buried in the family plot at Soule Cemetery in Sennett Township, New York.[17]
