James Ray Weddington

(February 1, 1931 - September 3, 2009)

James Ray Weddington, of Hwy 772, West Liberty, KY, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2009 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 2 days. He was born February 1, 1931 in Pomp, KY, son of the late Addie & Grace Spence Weddington.

James was united in marriage to Lenora Perry. She preceded him in death April 26, 1993. He was a Heavy Equipment operator.

In addition to his Father, Mother, and his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Glenn Weddington, William "Bill" Weddington, and one sister; Betty Ann Johnson.

He is survived by six brothers and sisters, Ella Pauline Engler and husband Curt of Michigan, George Weddington and wife Peggy, West Liberty, KY, Juanita Gilvin, Auburn, IN, Genoa Rosenfeld & husband Dan, Port Orange, FL, Addie Jr. Weddington and wife Lois, Marrow, OH, Forest Milton Weddington and wife Dee, South Lebanon, OH, several nieces, nephews and a special family and friends, Terry and Dawn Cox and children, Jeremy, Joey, Genna and Doodle.

Funeral Service 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the Potter Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eugene Haney officiating.

Burial will follow in the Perry Cemetery, Hwy 772, West Liberty, KY.

Visitation 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Potter Funeral Home.
