Biography
Harvey Weed was born about 1819 in Delaware, New York to parents Samuel Weed and Lucy Cooper. He married firstly Julia Polly Davis about 1842 in New York. Children: Elizabeth Melissa, Thomas Wesley, Lucy, Samuel Marcel, James W. After Polly died in 1855 he married secondly Hester Ann (Hettie) Wildman on 30 Jun 1858 in Johnson, Iowa. They were divorced on 6 May 1870 in Union, Iowa. Children: Harvey, Mary A, Cordella. He married thirdly Martha Belle Roberts on 25 Jul 1870 in Union, Iowa. Children: Elnora (Nora) Moore, Emeline (Minnie), William F, John, Margaret A (Lucy), Alfred. He died on 13 May 1890 in Shandon, California.
Harvey served in Company D, Regiment 37, Iowa Infantry during the Civil War.
