He married Anna Williams on 17 Jul 1777 in Thomaston, Knox, Maine. Children: Daniel, James, Betsy, Elizabeth, Samuel, Sarah, Ruth, Reliance, Judith, Adam, Deborah, Abner Edward, Hannah. He died on 4 Jun 1824 in Knox, Waldo, Maine, and is buried in the Knox Ridge Cemetery.
James Weed served in 1781 as a Private under Captain Washburn in the Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution as per the DAR Patriot record. He married Anna Williams. Son Abner m. Sarah Ryan; son Daniel m. Mary Mingerson.
