Smith was born in 1755. He was the son of Benjamin Weed and Sarah Hoyt.[1][2]

He passed away in 1839 and is buried in the Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, Albany, New York, USA.[3]

Served in the Continental Army during Revolutionary War[4]
