Biography
John Scotney Weekly was born before 8 January 1804 at Heston, Middlesex, England [1] [2] and was baptised in 1804 Heston, Middlesex [3].
On 17 April 1836 he married Lydia Trodd at St James, Clerkenwell, Islington, Middlesex [4][5]. Together they had 8 children, 4 of whom died as infants:
On 15 March 1840 his son John Charles Weekly (abt.1840-abt.1841) was christened at St Clement Danes, Westminster, London, England, United Kingdom. John Charles was present for the 1841 census but died shortly afterwards on 8 August 1841. [13].
In 1841 he was living in Sheffield Street at St Clement Danes, Westminster, Middlesex, England [2] with his wife and two children. His occupation is given as Coal Dealer [14].
On 2 Jun 1844 his son George Trodd Weekly (1844-1844) was christened at St Clement Danes, Westminster, London, England, United Kingdom. George died a few months later on 20 Oct 1844 [15].
On 9 Nov 1845 his daughter Mary Ann (Weekly) Hudson (abt.1846-) was christened at St Clement Danes, Westminster, London, England, United Kingdom [16].
On June 1848 his daughter Elizabeth Weekly (abt.1849-abt.1884)was christened at St Clement Danes, Westminster, London, England, United Kingdom [17].
On 4 Aug 1850 his daughter Susan Emma Weekly (abt.1850-abt.1851) was christened at Clement Danes, Westminster, London, England, United Kingdom. She died the following year on 16 February 1851. [18].
In 1851 he was living as head of household at St Clement Danes, Middlesex, England with his wife and four surving children; Hannah (13), Charles (9), Mary (5) and Eliabeth (2). [1].
He died in September 1859 at Strand, Westminster, Middlesex and was buried at Stoke Newington, London Borough of Hackney, Greater London, England. [19].
