Bernice Winn Barbour February 8, 1905- December 11, 2005 COLUMBUS, GA— Bernice Winn Barbour, 100, of Columbus, died at her residence, 5424 Woodruff Farm Road, on Sunday, December 11, 2005. At Mrs. Barbour's request, there will be no memorial service, according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, Georgia. Mrs. Barbour was born February 8, 1905 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Moses Winberc and Rae Kallen Winberc. She was the widow of interior designer Wallace Barbour. She was preceded in death by one brother, Seymour Winn, and 3 sisters, Florence Winberc Frank, Carlyn Winberc, and Ethel K. Winn. Mrs. Barbour had a long career in office supervision in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Germany, where she and her husband served as civilians in the U. S. Post Exchange Service. After retiring, she lived in St. Petersburg, FL, moving to Columbus in 1995. In February 2005 she celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends. Survivors include one daughter, Marion Barbour Lacer of Currie, NC; one niece, Rayna F. Goodman of Columbus; eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two great nephews, Glen Goodman of Athens, GA, and Stephen W. Goodman of Garden City, NY; one great niece, Elizabeth G. Cohn of Smyrna, GA; and several cousins.
