Samuel was born in 1879. He is the son of Nathan Weinberger.

Research Notes

All the records for him state his name as Samuel but there is a gravestone in Trinidad, Colorado, that has his name Simon with correct birth and death dates that is clearly him. He is also Simon when he arrives in the US with his older sisters and parents in 1880 when he is 8 months old. It appears Simon is likely his given name and that he takes Samuel as a name, possibly to ease confusion with his uncle or nephew Simon.
