Biography

Louis was born in 1901. He was the son of John Weis and Tillie Schuch. His father died in 1903 & his mother drowned in the General Slocum disaster in 1904. Louis survived the disaster, though suffered a broken jaw when struck by the boat's paddle. He & his brother Harry were then raised by his eldest brother John & wife, Kate Coan. He passed away in 1971.
