Research Note

There is no basis to believe that Joannes was the son of Johannes Weishaar of Schoenenbourg. There is reason to doubt that this person as described actually existed.

There is a Joannes Weishaar (b. abt. 1695, Keskastel, m. Moeller) on FamilySearch.org but he died in Keskastel, did not emigrate. Died in 1729 (Bas-Rhin Archives -- "HE WAS BURIED JOHANNES WEISSHAAR, TOBACCO SPINNER, DIED FROM CONSUMPTION IN HIS 39TH YEAR OF AGE." (FamilySearch.org). This, the death in Alsace, is the only fact that is documented about this person.

Keskastel records for 1721 do not list the birth of John George: Bas-Rhin Archives.
