Jennie M. Welch was born in New York, the daughter of Sylvester and Mary Ann Welch, with whom she was living at Oswegatchie, New York, in 1870 at the age of two[1] and in 1880 at the age of 12.[2] The 1900 Census says she was born in September 1868.[3]
Marriage
Jennie M. Welch married the widower Albon W. Vilas at Ogdensburg, New York, on 20 Jun 1888.[4][5] In 1900, Albon and Jennie Vilas were living and farming at Oswegatchie, New York, with three children, ages 6 through 10.[3]
Death
Jennie M. Vilas died at Ogdensburg, New York, on 23 Dec 1948 at the age of 70.[6] A FindAGrave memorial with no photo and citing no sources says that she was born in 1868, died in 1948, and is buried at the Ogdensburg Cemetery in Ogdensburg.[7]
