There were two Jimerson Welches. The one who married Sarah Howell was the son of James Welch Jr. The other, Elijah Jimerson Welch born Jan. 14, 1816 La. died Oct 1, 1884 Lincoln Co., Ms. was the son of John Welch and Betsy Moore. John was the son of James Welch Sr. and brother of James Welch Jr.
