Biography
Edward was born on 4 January 1868 at Taita, Lower Hutt, New Zealand [1]. He was the son of Henry Welch and Mary Poad.
He married Mary Ann Barnes on 26 April 1893[2] at Masterton. They appear to have had no children.
He was a gardener[3].
He died on 24 August 1938 aged 70[4]. He was buried at Archer Street Cemetery, Masterton[5]. His probate was granted at Masterton[3].
