Evelyn Harriet Welch was born on August 27, 1912,[1] in Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Charles Harry Welch and Nellie Maude Kenoyer. At age 7, she was in her parent's home in Roy, Mora County, New Mexico.[2]
She married John H Buttram .[3] on September 3, 1934 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico.[4] They had six children.

They made their home in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, in 1940, where John H was a Truck Driver for a Produce Compahy. They had 4 of their 6 sons in the home at that time.[5]
She married James Austin Long in about 1957 in Missouri.
She died on May 1, 2001, in Goodman, Missouri, at the age of 88, and was buried in the Pineville Cemetery in Pineville, McDonald County, Missouri.[1]
