Hey Everyone,

The profile meets the criteria for a 5 Star WikiTree Profile. This means that there are a lot of people visiting this profile. We need to create a real bio and make the profile more "readable" so that it puts a good face on our Ancestor and on WikiTree - Please see this G2G thread. https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/905133/will-you-help-us-improve-the-most-visited-profiles.

There are way too many profile Managers and I am going to drop off, though I will still work the profile with y'all.

Smith-61076 and Welch-72 appear to represent the same person because: This is the same Welch-72 as reported by the bio in Smith-61076. Tegg's Delight wasn't established until Edward filed patent on it, She married Emanual Smith after Edward died. PS, tobacco was a cash crop, a tradeable commodity.

Welch-7060 and Welch-72 appear to represent the same person because: Appearant duplicate

Smith-131144 and Welch-72 appear to represent the same person because: Susannah "Susan" Welch married Edward Teague/Tegg first, then when he died married Emanuel Smith, with whom she had Martha Smith Mitchell. The Welch page has a wider variety of information.
Hey Jan,

I don't see any pending merges for this profile. If you have a profile you would like to merge please initiate the merge. Once the merge is initiated we can review it and approve it.

The reason the note is up is that there were many, many, many merges, some good and some bad. It is a caution to the profile managers to be watchful to make sure that merges proposed work for this profile.

Thanks for posting your note.

It has been a long time since I've had the time to dig back into WikiTree, so I have not been actively working on this or other profiles. I tried not to leave any loose ends in connection to my specific work, but I do know that there are a lot of loose ends in this line.

If we don't look to the bottom of the profile, we will not see your msg. "Merge Correction taking place. Please do not merge any related family members or edit while this message is posted here.

Consequently there are many profiles needing to be merged for this family. Your last comment was January 2015. Are you or anyone working on these merges??

I have also found where she married SMith after her marriage to Teague, with issue of Martha and Mary Smith. Mags

Smith-15405 and Welch-72 appear to represent the same person because: I am an arborist working to correct this family/line. I am merging duplicates and this profile is a duplicate - the last name at birth is Welch, she may have married a Smith prior to marrying Teague. also sources are on the other profile. Thanks, Mags
