Biography

Sarah Welch was born about 1797 in North Carolina and her father was born in Ireland. She passed away March 18, 1887. Sarah is the wife of Jesse Maynard Sr . Sarah and Jesse had 6 children together. She was laid to rest in Queens Ridge Cemetery in Dunlow, West Virginia.^[1]

During the 1860 US Census:

Jesse Mainard, age 70, was living in Wayne, Virginia with his wife, Sally Mainard, age 64, and
