Of Lulworth Castle, Co. Dorset.; succeeded to the Sherburne Family possessions upon the death of his uncle, Sir Nicholas Sherburne, Bt. in 1717.
Humphrey Weld was the third member of the Weld Family to own the Lulworth Estate. Humphrey inherited it on the death of his father William Weld in 1698. The Lulworth Estate is still owned by the Weld Family - see successive owners at The Welds of Lulworth.
Humphrey married Margaret Simeon in 1701.
Humphrey wrote his Last Will and Testament on 24 July 1721 and died in 1722 (possibly on 23 June 1722). Probate was granted to his widow Margaret on 27 July 1722. [1] The Lulworth Estate passed to his son Edward Weld (1705-1761),
Humphrey's widow Margaret died in Jun 1737.
