Listed as a farmer in the first Maryland Census of 1790, listed as a voter in the presidential election of 1796 in Fredrick County Maryland, (Maryland Records, Vol I). In 1796 he and his family moved, with his mother and brothers to Nelson County, KY, where he was listed in the 1810 Census as a farmer.
