John Weller was born in 1858 in Hanborough, Oxfordshire.^[1]. He was baptised at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 14th February 1858.^[2] His father gave his occupation as labourer.

Marriage

John Weller and Harriett Woodward were married at St Peter and St Paul, Church Hanborough on 19th July 1882.^[3] They were bachelor and spinster. John was 24, a policeman living in Thame and the son of Mark Weller who was a labourer. Harriett was 22, living in Hanborough and the daughter of Thomas Woodward who was a keeper. They each signed their own name on the register and the witnesses to the marriage were Albert Woodward and Kate Styles.^[4]
