Biography

Amy Freame Weller was born in 1904 at Malvern, Victoria, Australia. She was the daughter of Albert Weller and Amy Reid.[1]

She married her cousin, Eric Woodward, an Army officer, on 7th February 1933 in St Stephen's Presbyterian Church (now Uniting Church), Caulfield West, Victoria.[2] He would go on to become Lieutenant General Sir Eric Woodward, Governor of New South Wales. Amy became entitled as Lady Woodward, and had a 'Lady Class' Sydney ferry named in her honour.

Lady Woodward survived her husband by sixteen years and passed away in 1984 at her home at Wahroonga, New South Wales.[3]
