William's birth certificate states that there was no previous issue to his birth.
1885:- William died of Typhoid Fever at the District Hospital, Beechworth and was buried on the same day, 29 October 1885, in the Beechworth Cemetery.
Further information from the death certificate ... he was born in Daylesford; his father is William Wellington and his mother is Mary Ann Oates; he was a farmer and he was single. His mother's surname of Oates is actually that of his grandmother, Mary Ann's mother.
