Biography
John married Jane Cornell (or Connell) in 1819; and their children were Jane born in 1820, George Washington born in 1822, and Elvira Eva born in 1827. His first wife died shortly after the birth of their third child, and John married Frances Luranah Hayward in 1827. Luranah was the mother of his children Harriet Newall born in 1828, Eunice Abial in 1831, Robert Scotton in 1836, John Fletcher in 1839, Frances Luranah in 1844, and Calvin Plum in 1847. After his second wife died in 1851, he married Sophia Mudgett in 1852. There were no children from his third marriage.
