His will is dated 19 January 1753 and proved on 5 March 1753 in Fairfield. His inventory was taken on 2 April 1753. His estate included the enslavement of a black man and a black woman both not named in the inventory.[1]
The distribution of his estate was recorded on 1 May 1753 in Fairfield. It was distributed to his widow, Comfort, Charity, Bette, John. The continued enslavement of the black man was divided between Comfort, Charity, Bette, and John. The continued enslavement of the black woman was distributed to the widow, Comfort.[2]
In 1774, his heirs received a distribution from his brother, Isaac Judson Wells' estate.[3]
