December 1990. Poem written by Jean Smith about her aunt.
"Aunt Kitty".
I have an aunt called Kitty.
She is very small and terribly witty.
Three children she has and six grandchildren too.
When all together there's a queue for the loo.
Good neighbours are there.
to keep an eye on her welfare.
Jenny, Paul and Keith call in quite often.
to give some bad days a little soften.
Health has not been so good lately,.
but never a moan does she ever utter.
Garden is her life and glory,.
to see it tells you all the story.
There are vegetables and flowers too,.
to keep it right she has to do.
Telephone calls are always a laugh,.
her words always seem to take the right path.
A giggle there always is when I talk to lovely Aunt Kitty.
