Mollie Linda Wells was born on 26th April 1917 in Brentford, Middlesex, England. (mothers maiden name was Couts. [1]
In 1939, Molly (age 22), was a reception clerk, still single she lived at 117 Bishops Rd., Fulham, London, with her widowed mother Fanny and brother Richard.[2]
During War World II, she served with the St. John's Ambulance Service and spent many nights in the London Underground as Nazi planes bombed the city. She met and married Austin Stanley Parker, who was an American soldier, during the war.
Mollie worked as an underwriter at American States Insurance for 20 years.
Mollie was also married to Verlin "Jack" Gentry, and Lloyd Clark; each leaving her a widow.
Mollie Linda Stanton, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 3, 2011. Mollie leaves behind a husband, Howard Stanton; a son, James R. Parker; a stepdaughter, Deloris McDermott; 2 grand-daughters, 4 step-grandchildren and 6 great-grand, step-children.
Besides her previous husbands, also preceding her in death are her parents, Richard and Fanny Wells, as well as her brother, Stanley Wells.
Mollie was very active in community affairs especially through the efforts of Westview Christian Church.
