DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Mike or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA.

Thanks Mike. Not saying William could not have been Aaron and Nancy's son, but I've just never seen him named in connection with them. They are my 4th Great-Grandparents.
Mike, I see you added William Neal as son of Nancy Jordan Neal and Aaron Neal. Is there a specific record that shows him connected to them, or is it a matter of close to right place, right time?
Hello, The Mayflower Project is requesting that you check-in to let us know you are still interested in being a badged member of the Mayflower Project.
Requirements to maintain your status as a badged Mayflower Project Member:
(1) The mayflower G2G tag is required to be a member.
(2) You must be active on Wikitree within the last year. If you are barely active you may also be removed.
(3) You must respond to checkin requests. Note that if you manage one or more Mayflower profiles you will not be asked to checkin.
You may respond by replying to this comment or sending me a private message.
Thank you for being a member of WikiTree and the Mayflower Project.
We're 12th cousins, but not on the family side that I assumed! haha! My mom's maiden name was Wells, but you and I are actually connected through my dad's side. Maybe as I enter more of my Wells relatives I will find that we are related on two sides. :)
Hi Michael, I proposed two merges for Gisclair & Frederic (name spelling variations). I would like to collaborate with you on these two profiles. As you may already know, WikiTree is very serious about having only one profile per person so when you see a possible duplicate, please initiate a merged; don't just disconnect! Collaboration is a good thing and often improves the profiles! Thank you for the information you posted on your profiles!
Thanks for your note, Michael. I took a look at all the connections and they looks correct from the little bit I know about how DNA works here at WikiTree, so I'm at a loss.
The best place to look for answers about DNA questions is in the G2G forum. There you could create a new post to ask for help. Down at the bottom, add the URL for John's profile and where it says "Surnames and project tags," add the tags add DNA and Mentor so that members who specialize in DNA will be notified.
I'll keep a look out for the question because I'm interested to know what's going on too.
You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week so I am checking in to see how it is going. The New Member How-Tos are for you to work at your own pace. If you had time to look, were they helpful?
I'm here to help with questions about how WikiTree works. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.
PPS Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links? Each takes you to a page of other people who have that tag and WikiTree links which might be helpful.
You are putting your new pre-1700 badge to use a adding new pre-1700 profiles. This is great! But please do not forget to come back to the earlier profiles you created to add sources. When you added new profiles a few days ago, you pledged to add sources by the next day. It is time to come back to these and add sources. Thank you !

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.
Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
Would you please check to see if the Ancestry links you have as sources on the profiles you're creating actually link to a source on Ancestry. The ones I've checked haven't worked. If they don't link to a source, please add your sources manually. Thanks!
I am pleased to confirm you as a full member. Now you can start adding your family members.

"Mike and Ron are 10th cousins three times removed -- Mike Wells and Ron Campbell (Campbell-25710) are both descendants of Matthew Marvin."
Good catch on the merge for Parkhurst/Whitney. If you're interested in being the profile manager for Whitney-3551, let me know.
THanks for being so fast. :-)
