Thanks Cindy, I'd added some ancestors for a friend who's a patrilineal descendant of Daniel LeBlanc (LeBlanc-100). Mike

Hi Mike, many thanks for your recent edits to the Hurt family in Nottinghamshire. I noticed that you added John Hurt (bef.1767-) and his wife Sarah as the parents of John Hurt (bef.1802-). But the baptism record that was already on John Hurt (bef.1802-) says that his parents were Henry and Mary. So either the parents are incorrect or the baptism record is the wrong one. I'll have a look and see if I can figure it out, there were probably multiple men called John Hurt living in this area at the time. If you have any thoughts or further evidence to figure out which John Hurt was which and get this straight please let me know.

Best wishes, Helen.

Hey Mike, I show Joseph Card married to Hannah Briggs as the son of John Card 1741-1836, wife Priscilla Pate. John was the son of Richard Card 1717-bef. 1775. Wife was Mercy Allen 1724-bef. 1752. Richard was the son of Joseph Card 1648-1729. Wife Jane Sanford. Joseph was the son of Richard Card of Newport, Rhode Island, Richard’s birthdate, birthplace, and spouse’s last name all questionable.

Btw, Joseph had a supposed disreputable business practice. One account shows him dealing with some of the first slave trading in the Colonies. His father It’s interesting that he stayed in Newport and his family became socially and politically affluential, while his father Richard and his 2 brothers, James, my ancestor, and Job, left Newport, moving to Kingstown or Westerly, with James family becoming religiously affluential.
