Biography
Rachel Wells was the daughter of Joseph Wells and Charity Carrington of Cane Creek, Orange County, North Carolina. Rachel was raised in the Quaker faith at the Cane Creek Monthly Meeting Church there.
Rachel Wells was married to Henry Underwood on October 3, 1795. The marriage was recorded in the Cane Creek Monthly Meeting minutes.
In 1804, Rachel Wells Underwood was named in the will of her father, Joseph Wells.
