Hansell Pinckney Wells died yesterday morning at 9:20 o'clock at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Annie Smith . . . Deceased was 74 Years old Oct. 11, 1907. He was born in St. Helena Parish . . . Captain Wells served during the Civil War as a captain in Colonel Harrison's cavalry, a company composed of men from North Louisiana . . . Deceased was a lawyer and was a member of the local bar at the time of his death. He lived at one time in Delhi and was a member of the Legislature from Richland Parish . . . One son, H.P. Wells, Jr., was a member of the local bar also, died here a few years ago . . . The remains will be sent to Delhi and funeral services will be held there this afternoon.
