In 1861 she was living with her mother and grandparents at 15 Webb St, Bermondsey Leather Market - George Wells head marr 50 tanner b Hants Boling (Beaulieu?); Elizabeth wife 41; Harriett dau unm 21; Charlotte dau 19; William son 14; Elizabeth dau 12; Ann dau 10; Reuben son 7 scholar; Matilda dau 4 scholar; Josephine Wells grand dau 1. All b Bermondsey.[2]
In the 1871 census she was living with her mother who by now had married, at 5 Aldred St, St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, enumerated under her mother's married name - Charles Snooks head marr 46 Stone mason b Mile End; Charlotte Snooks wife 29 Needlewoman b Bermondsey, Josephine Snooks dau 10; Sarah Snooks dau 5; Charles Snooks son 2; Jane Snooks dau 9 mthe. All children b Bermondsey.[3]
She was still living with her mother in 1881, at 11 Aldred St, Bermondsey - Charles Snooke head marr 53 Bricklayer, Charlotte Snooke wife 39; Charlotte Snooke Aunt (sic) 21 Servant out of employ; Sarah Snooke aunt 16; Charles Snooke son 12, Jane Snooke dau 11; Emily Snooke dau 7. Baby (male) Snooke son 2 mths. All b Bermondsey.[4]
She married Henry Bromley at the Register Office, Southwark St Olave, Surrey on 24 Dec 1881 - Henry Bromley 25 bach Leather dresser, father George Bromley weaver & Josephine Charlotte Wells 22 spinster, father Joseph Wells stone mason (invented!). Witnesses Henry Wells and Charlotte Snooke (mother)[5]

She died in the Sep quarter 1940 in Bermondsey age 80.[10]
