Biography

Fidelia was born 21 Feb 1852 in Montezuma, Poweshiek, Iowa. She was the daughter of Cyrus Coe Wells and Emeline Amanda Stewart.

In 1860 she was living in Jackson Township, Poweshiek, Iowa.^[1] The household included Cyrus Wells age 37 born in New York, Eveline A Wells age 26 born in Illinois, Fedelia Wells age 8 born in Iowa, Newel Wells age 7 born in Iowa, Hubert Wells age 5 born in Iowa, Cyrus Wells age 3 born in Iowa, William Wells age 10 months born in Iowa, Chester Wells age 60 born in New York and Persis Wells age 69 born in New York. Cyrus was a farmer. Chester was a carpenter and joiner.

She is buried in Masonic IOOF Cemetery, Montezuma, Poweshiek County, Iowa.^[8]
