Joseph Wells was possibly born around June 1806 at Poplar Place, and baptized on the 18 June 1806 at the Parish Church of Saint Mary (aka St. Mary's in the Lace Market), High Pavement, City of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England[1]. He was the son of Joseph Wells and Mary Maiden Name not Recorded.
Joseph married Ann "Daykins" Deacon on the 16 November 1830 at the Parish Church of Saint Stephen, Dale Street, in the City of Nottingham, Parish of Sneinton, in Nottinghamshire, England. After Banns were posted, Curate Alfred (Sadler) married the couple in front of witnesses John and Fanny (Hollingsworth)[2]. The couple had (at least) the following children—Joseph was born in Glass House Lane; George in Platt Street and the rest born in Nelson Street. Sarah's birth recorded her mother's name as "Daykin" and Caroline's as "Elam".:--
It is not clear when, and where, Joseph died as he wasn't living with his family by 1841.
