He was born on 17 Oct 1841 in Chesterfield, Essex County, New York, USA and his parents were Phoebe and John Wells (1793–1875).

Isaac Wells first married to Emma Euretta DeGroff (1844-1882).

By 1900 Isaac Wells had married secondly to Philomene Blair (b: Jul 1830 Canada; d: abt. Apr 1909).

Isaac Wells married thirdly on 06 May 1909 in Peru, Clinton County, New York, USA to Lucy "Fannie" (Defoe) Scribner or Scrisner [1] [2] (1858–1924).

He died on 24 Apr 1920 in Plattsburgh, Clinton County, New York, USA [3] [4] and was buried at South Plattsburgh Cemetery, South Plattsburgh, Clinton County, New York, USA. [5]
