Stephen Thomas Wells was born on 21 April 1931 in Wimmers, Pennsylvania to parents Ervan Wells and Mary Muriel Martin.

Stephen's mother, Mary, passed away on 12 July 1937 from a heart attack. Stephen was 6 years old when she died.

9-year-old Stephen lived with his father and two older sisters in Berlin, Pennsylvania at the 1940 Census:^[1]

18-year-old Stephen lived with his father and stepmother in Berlin, Pennsylvania at the 1950 Census:^[2]

Stephen enlisted in the United States Air Force on 16 November 1955 at the age of 23. He was discharged on 31 October 1976 after 21 years of service.^[3]

Stephen passed away on 12 March 1991 in Scranton, Pennsylvania at the age of 60. He is buried in Glen Cove Cemetery in Narrowsburg, New York.^[4][5]
