Biography
Joseph was the son of Beatrice Gullery and William Wells.
He worked as a Constable in Wellington and Blenheim for over 40 years.
At the age of 22 in 1930, he married Thelma Russell, daughter of Hugh Oswald and Mary Ellen.
Joseph and Thelma moved north to Pahiatua where he continued to work within the Police Force. He retired in the late 1960's.
Joseph Wells died age 78 and is buried at Mangatera cemetery, Dannevirke. BLK LP PLOT 3.
