Eliza S. Wells was born about 1824 in New Brunswick. She was the daughter of William Wells and Anna Maria Allen. She married Job Dobson on November 3, 1842.[1]

In 1851, Job & Eliza and their two children were living in Botsford Parish, next door to Job's parents.[2] In 1861, Eliza was listed as head of household, along with 4 children, her mother-in-law Charlotte Richardson and a servant, Charlotte Treen, age 17.[3]
