Biography

Noble Forest Welsh, son of Guy Welsh & Lovey Lowry, was born at 11:30 am on 23 November 1920 in Polk Township, Marshall, Indiana, United States.[1]

In the 1930 census, Noble (age 9) was the son of Guy F Welsh, living on a farm in Liberty Township, St Joseph, Indiana, United States with his father, Guy F Welsh mother, Lovey V Welsh, sisters, Bonnivere J Welsh and Mary R Welsh, and brothers, Duewaine G Welsh and Richard L Welsh. He was going to school, but it is not known if he could read and write at the time.[2]

In the 1940 census, Noble (age 19) was the son of Guy Welsh at 307 Ohio St. in South Bend, St. Joseph, Indiana, United States. He lived there with his father, Guy Welsh, mother, Lovey Welsh, sister, Ruth Welsh, and brothers, Duewaine Welsh and Richard Welsh. He was single. He worked 54 hours during the week of March 24-30, 1940, as a trucker for a laundry business and didn't work in 1939.[3]

Noble, child of Guy Welsh & Lovey Lowry Welsh, married Dolores Jane Peters on 8 Jan 1941 in St. Joseph, Indiana, United States.[4]

Noble's World War II Draft Card was registered on 16 February 1942 in South Bend, St Joseph, Indiana, United States. It showed he was age 21 and was living at 2633 W Irvington St., South Bend, St Joseph, Indiana, United States. It also shows that he was born 23 November 1920 in Walkerton, Indiana, United States. He was employed by Studebaker in South Bend, St Joseph, Indiana, United States. He was 5 feet 10.5 inches tall and weighed 185 pounds. His complexion was light, hair color was brown, and his eyes were brown.[5]

Noble and Dolores' son, Dennis Welsh, was born and died in La Porte, La Porte, Indiana, United States on 13 September 1948 when they lived in Knox, Starke, Indiana, United States.[6]

In the 1950 census, Noble F Welsh (age 27) was born in Indiana and was married. He worked 60 hours as a manager of the Farm Co-Op elevator. He was the head of the household that was not a farm and not on more than 3 acres in Hanna, Hanna Township, LaPorte, Indiana, United States.[7]

Noble died on 6 Mar 1968 and was buried in Hanna, La Porte, Indiana, United States.[8]
