Cecily married, as his second wife, Jenkin ap Philip. His first wife was Jonet ferch Gwilym of Peutun ap Llywelyn ap Hywel Fychan.
Which of Jenkin's wives was the mother of Morgan is unclear. Cecily may have been his mother. Jonet was the mother of "William Morgan". A son Gruffydd is connected to Jenkin with a question mark and no mother indicated.
↑ In researching Sir John Welsh, some online trees appear to give both John Welsh and his son-in-law Jenkin ap Philip a wife named Katherine Llewelyn. Jenkin married (2) Cecily, Sir John's daughter (#Lewis shows Jenkin's first wife as "Catherine fil Gwillim Llewelyn, daughter of Gwillim Llewelyn ap Howel" with no specific source citation). Sir John's wife is given simply as Katherine Llewelyn where a wife is listed (a source for her has so far eluded me). ~ Liz Shifflett, October 9, 2015
↑Bleddyn ap Maenyrch 18 (#Bartrum); note that this Bartrum chart for Llywelyn ap Hywel also does not show a daughter named Catherine for his son "Gwilym of Peutun"

#Lewis entry for Jenkyn ap Philip cites Douglas Richardson's work (see Richardson's website for information on his books) and Unknown author, Wallop Family, p. 566. Wife's information is apparently from the Wallop family, as it is not in the citations he lists for #Richardson:
